New Tab With MoMA Chrome Extension
For more than half a century, The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) has been exploring the human condition, transforming the way people see and understand the world, both through its collection of more than 1.5 million works of art and through its educational initiatives. In addition, MoMA has been at the forefront of public outreach through its Open Doors initiative, which brings people from around the world to its Museum to experience new work and ideas in person.
The New Tab with MoMA Chrome Extension brings these elements together in an effort to deliver a simple and convenient way for visitors to explore MoMA’s collection on any device. For each new tab, you’ll see a different artwork, whether it’s from The Museum’s permanent collection or one that’s currently on view.
MoMA collects and preserves the world’s most important art from the beginning of time through today. MoMA’s permanent collection encompasses more than 120,000 objects dating from 1474 to the present, ranging from sculpture to photography, and includes more than 4,000 paintings, drawings, photographs, and other works on paper.
In addition, MoMA’s collection of archival photographs and film provides a unique perspective on the world, including the human condition and the changes that shape and impact it.
